Source: Matthew 6:9–13, Luther Bible 1912 (public domain), text from bibel-online.net. The English sentences follow the King James Version (1611, public domain).
Literal: PL = ma, NOT = ne, REQ = vo, NEAR = hi. Compounds with hyphens.
Unser Vater in dem Himmel! Dein Name werde geheiligt. Dein Reich komme. Dein Wille geschehe auf Erden wie im Himmel. Unser täglich Brot gib uns heute. Und vergib uns unsere Schuld, wie wir unseren Schuldigern vergeben. Und führe uns nicht in Versuchung, sondern erlöse uns von dem Übel. Denn dein ist das Reich und die Kraft und die Herrlichkeit in Ewigkeit. Amen.
Our Father which art in heaven! Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
PL I speak to parent-male PL I, who be-located in sky
Unser Vater in dem Himmel!
Our Father which art in heaven!
Notes (3)
The address is paraphrased: “We speak to our Father …” (when speaking: va + the person addressed). A short sentence would not work: it has no verb, but the relative clause brings one with it.
An exclamation mark only comes after vo, so a full stop.
“In heaven” must not hang directly on the noun (prepositional phrases belong to the sentence), so a relative clause with “be located”.
REQ will you happen in world like will which happen in sky!
Dein Wille geschehe auf Erden wie im Himmel.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Notes (1)
si (like) only takes a noun, not a prepositional phrase. “As in heaven” = si dura je nabe di goka (like the will that happens in heaven;). si compares with the subject dura tu, and the relative clause comes at the end of the sentence.
and REQ you forgive thing bad PL I! PL I also forgive PL person who do PST thing bad to PL I
Und vergib uns unsere Schuld, wie wir unseren Schuldigern vergeben.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Notes (2)
“Debts” is paraphrased: our wrongdoing, and that is the object of nate. “Forgive us from our wrongdoing” (ko tama vurali) would not work, because ko without a time noun only means “from, out of”. “Debtors” = the people who have done us wrong.
Request and statement are different kinds of sentence, so two sentences. “As we” = ma mi mo (we too).
