In short: this website collects no data about you. There are no statistics, no ads, no embedded content from other providers and no contact form. This is a translation for convenience; the German version is the legally binding one.

Hosting

The website is hosted by lima-city (TrafficPlex GmbH, Konsul-Smidt-Str. 90, 28217 Bremen, Germany), acting as a processor on my behalf. When you open a page, the server stores technically necessary access data: your IP address, date and time, the address requested, the status of the request and information about your browser.

• Purpose: secure and error-free operation, protection against misuse and attacks.
• Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Retention: access logs at most 90 days, error logs at most 7 days.
• Location: data centres in the EU (Germany, backups in Finland).

To protect against automated attacks, lima-city may set the cookies “_lcp”, “_lcp2” and “_lcp3”. They contain no identifier that recognises you and are technically necessary for operation.

Storage in your browser

The website remembers in your browser (localStorage) which language you last chose, which lessons you have completed and which vocabulary you selected on the “Practice” page. This information never leaves your device and is not sent to me. You can delete it at any time: on the “Learn” page with “Reset progress”, or in your browser settings.

Reading aloud

The read-aloud feature only uses voices installed on your device. The text being read does not leave your device. If your device has no suitable voice, the feature stays off.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Write to senatola@mc4r.at.
